Let’s save some Penny from Kitchen!

As recession is yet to say you good bye, so you have to make a mindset to live with frugality. I hope rainy days will bid you good bye soon. But till then here are some advice for you to save some penny and make your kitchen task easier.

• Keeping the cheese fresh, cut off enough for immediate use and spread the remaining portion with a thin film of butter or margarine. Put it in a cool place. This keeps out the air and prevents the cheese from drying out.

• Cut an envelope at corner and pierced at the point makes a good funnel for filling salt and pepper shakers.

• Put a mixture of red pepper on your pantry shelves, window sills, and door sills and get away from ants.

• Clean the meat grinder by Bread crust then adds to the meat dish for flavor and food. What an idea!

• As you use from a breakfast food box, cut the sides down and fold over to fit the contents, putting a rubber band around the top. This will keep remaining breakfast food fresher and conserve cupboard space.

• When in doubt about an egg, make this test: add 2 tsps. salt to a cup of water and put the egg in it. A fresh egg will sink, a doubtful egg will float.

• Lemons will stay fresh longer if you store them in a bowl of cold water in the fridge. They’ll keep up to 3 months this way.

• Having problem with catsup out of the bottle. Don’t worry insert a drinking straw, push it to the bottom of the bottle, and then remove. Enough air will be admitted to start an even flow.

• Place a trouser hanger and then hang the cook book from the hanger. It will help you to prevent losing the cook book.
